Our Recruiting Promise
iStaff Recruits exists to make hiring feel clear, respectful, and well managed. We focus on New York City opportunities across Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island, and we support employers and candidates with practical communication, thoughtful screening, and a process that respects people on both sides of the search.
This page explains the standards we use when handling job requests, resumes, candidate introductions, employer intake, online forms, and recruiting communications. It is written in plain language for website visitors and should be read together with our Legal Hub, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Equal Opportunity Notice, Candidate Consent Notice, Compliance Notice, and Accessibility Statement.
New York City Recruiting Guardrails
Our recruiting process is designed to support applicable federal, New York State, and New York City requirements, including equal opportunity, pay transparency, accessibility, fair chance hiring, data privacy, wage and hour, workplace safety, and anti-discrimination obligations. We do not use website copy, screening questions, or employer instructions to knowingly support discriminatory, misleading, unsafe, or unlawful hiring practices.
Employer Standards
Employers should provide accurate job duties, required qualifications, work location, schedule, compensation range, benefits, employment type, reporting structure, physical requirements, hiring timeline, and any lawful screening steps before a role is shared with candidates. Employers remain responsible for final hiring decisions, workplace policies, onboarding, payroll, classification, background-check procedures, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable law.
We may decline or pause requests that appear misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, unpaid in a way that violates applicable law, inconsistent with pay transparency requirements, or otherwise outside the standards expected of a professional recruitment process.
Candidate Standards
Candidates should submit accurate resumes, contact details, availability, work authorization information, skill summaries, and role preferences. Submitting a resume or form gives iStaff Recruits permission to review the information for recruiting purposes and, where appropriate, discuss potential opportunities with employer contacts. Candidates should not submit confidential information, medical details, government identifiers, or sensitive personal data unless specifically requested through an appropriate process.
iStaff Recruits does not charge candidates to apply through this website. No online submission guarantees an interview, job offer, assignment, employment relationship, or specific hiring outcome.
Pay Transparency and Clear Job Details
For New York City and New York State roles, employers are expected to provide good-faith compensation ranges where required and to keep job descriptions accurate, current, and not misleading. We aim to present role location, schedule, work arrangement, team, compensation, and core responsibilities clearly so candidates can make informed decisions before applying.
Fair Chance, Background Checks, and Assessments
If a role involves background checks, criminal history review, credit checks, reference checks, drug testing, credential verification, skills assessments, or other screening steps, employers are responsible for following applicable authorization, disclosure, timing, adverse-action, job-relatedness, and fair chance requirements. We encourage employers to evaluate candidates based on lawful, role-related criteria and to avoid blanket exclusions that are not tied to the position.
Consent, Privacy, and Data Handling
Candidate and employer information should be used only for legitimate recruiting, hiring, communication, and business purposes. We expect employer contacts to protect candidate information, limit access to people with a business need, and avoid onward disclosure unless lawful and appropriate. Candidates may contact iStaff Recruits to update information, ask a question about a submission, or request support with the recruiting process.
Accessible and Respectful Communication
We aim to keep the website and recruiting process clear, mobile-friendly, and accessible. Candidates or employers who need assistance using the site, submitting a form, reviewing a role, or requesting a reasonable accommodation can contact us directly. Recruiting communication should remain professional, truthful, and respectful at every stage.
